And that such fair agreement should ensue, PRIDE, who was present, could as ill consent:
But LOVE was there, more puissant than the two, Equalled of none in lofty hardiment;
And launching from his bow his shafts of proof, With these, made PRIDE and DISCORD stand aloof.
